This paper studies two-dimensional quantum chromodynamics (QCD) with multiple colors and massless quarks. Using lattice simulations, it shows the theory's infrared behavior matches predictions from a Wess-Zumino-Witten model. Eigenvalues and meson correlators exhibit an ultraviolet-to-infrared flow, with conserved currents unchanged but scalar mesons becoming independent of quark flavors.
