This paper presents a new approach to integrate constrained dynamic systems, like those found in multibody dynamics, while avoiding unpredictable stability behavior. It allows standard linear stability analysis to be applied by performing the integration in a set of instantaneous minimal coordinates obtained through the null space. This avoids interference from constraints during integration. Numerical experiments validate the methodology and show predictable stability compared to standard methods.
