Adding Color to 3D Scenes from Black and White Images
This paper proposes a method to take a set of black and white images of a 3D scene and produce a colorful 3D representation of that scene. It does this by first constructing a luminance and density model of the scene using the monochrome images. Then it predicts missing color information by utilizing an image colorization module. The resulting luminance, density and color representations are combined to reproduce the scene in full color.
